Is he a myth, a stereotype, or is this the image that comes to mind when you think about visiting your local garage or dealership service department? During my 20 plus years experience in the auto industry, stories of a “grumpy mechanic” have been shared with me over and over.
My goal is not necessarily to dispel the myth or diffuse the stereotype, but to offer another alternative. I want to hear your automotive questions, and I will provide an honest, well-researched, experienced opinion on your specific issue as well as a variety of transportation-related topics. Occasionally, my sense of humor may creep in and lead you to wonder if I am, in fact the Grumpy Mechanic . . . or not.
